| Managing Director Location : Stockholm, Sweden Our client is a major worldwide distributor of technology Hardware/Software and other retail products with a long-standing presence in the Nordic marketplace. The managing director will have the overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operations and financial results of his organization. He/she will develop a yearly operating plan and process to achieve full market potential and increase overall profitability, productivity and share. This activity will result in the cost effective business activity and maximized efficiency for the company. The specific leadership focuses will be in the area of Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Pricing, Procurement and Customer/Employee/Vendor relations. He/she will form a sound working relationship with the other executive team to ensure an effective business environment exists between the country and the Nordic functions. The managing director is responsible for working with all functions to define the strategic direction for the company. He or she has a mandate to develop the local company into an established "best-in-class" operating entity, focused on profitable growth maintaining a number 1st position in the market. The managing director will be an innovative and results-oriented executive who is creative and passionate about doing things differently. Both strategic and tactical the MD will have deep knowledge of key market share targets and be able to use his/her creative thinking skills to develop a ground breaking approach to generate incremental revenue. He/She will have deep knowledge of the IT distribution/channel and have and appreciation of the complexities of customer acquisition and retention. He/She will be capable of thriving in an aggressive growth-oriented company. The managing director will direct all facets of the organization and demonstrate experience in operating in a competitive environment with strong focus on financial aspect. |
